TM seems very

TM seems very dead. Any ideas for reviving it?

I have one or two ideas myself, but I'll post them once this goes up.

Hmmm...yeah. I don't really have any ideas on how to revive TM, but I'd like to try some of yours. I loved the Holidays are Here thread but..since no one's on here, it died. T_T

I think part of the problem is there's not a whole lot to talk about on TM. It's just for talking about the magazine, which is good, but compared to the abundance of things to chat about on, say, Inkwell and Down to Earth, TM is a little underloved. We can try harder to talk about the magazine each month, maybe?

I really liked the article about Paul Wittgenstein. I thought that was really cool, that somebody could be such an accoplished pianist and only have one arm.

Yeah, it is pretty dead. We could always reboot the MCU (here's a thread I made a while back with suggestions for the MCU: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/thismonth/node/522711) We could also do monthy CBer balls or contests or something like that...? I'm curious to see your ideas, and I definitely think we should revive TM!

Yes, bringing back the MCU would be really great! I love reading them; y'all are so good at AE banter! :)

I agree that there isn't that much to say about Cricket magazine, other than that it's very nice, and I loved the stories, and wasn't the Cricket Country episode funny in this issue, and so on :)  But I did have an idea. We could vote each month for our favorite piece of writing in the latest issue (including articles and poems, not just the stories). Only the rule would be that nobody could look at the votes that had been cast so far, so that nobody would be influenced by which piece of writing seemed to be the most popular at that moment.

Once the month was over, the person hosting would announce which piece of writing was voted the best, and then maybe people could discuss it a bit if they felt like it, and we would move on to voting for the best story/poem/etc in the next issue.
