Art Contest: Artistic Cats

Cats, cats, cats! What a lot of furry felines are padding through this issue of Cricket. Maybe not millions of cats, but there are plenty to warm the hearts and tickle the noses of even finicky cat lovers. But can you ever have enough sweet kitties? Ladybug doesn’t think so, and for this month’s contest she longs to see your most artistic cats.

Will you draw your own cute pet? (Ladybug has dibs on drawing Pussywillow!) Or a big cat such as a tiger, slinking through the jungle? Will you show a cat acting, well, just like a cat—playing with string, sitting on your desk while you do homework, or sniffing catnip? Or will your cat do something rather
un-catlike—such as the kitties dancing The Nutcracker on our cover? As always, it’s up to you. But whatever you decide, everybuggy will be purring contentedly when your very best cat drawing arrives in the Cricket Country mailbox.
