Art Contest: Cricket Country Cartoon

Everybuggy was exhausted after the big 40th-anniversary party in George’s mansion—Ladybug talked all night while Sluggo told lame jokes and George swept up the crumbs from Marty’s pizza. This issue of Cricket brought back many happy memories for the gang, and the cool map on the cover gave Cricket an idea. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see your best drawing of a whacky bug adventure in Cricket Country! Even Ladybug admitted it was a genius idea (after she said she thought of it first).

Your cartoon—just a single panel, please—can star any of the characters you wish. Will Tater invent something strange at his research station? Will funny things happen around Zoot’s bandstand? Will the brave bugeez venture into Creepy Crawl Woods where Ugly tries to eet them? Will Ladybug add a new episode to her history of Cricket? Maybe you’ll draw a Happy Birthday card for the whole gang. You might even draw a new bug that’s never before been seen in Cricket Country! And remember, you can use speech balloons to have the bugs say something clever, or silly—or just plain annoying.

After sleeping in late to recover from George’s party, everybuggy will be stumbling bleary-eyed down the path to the Cricket Country mailbox to enjoy your best bug cartoon of an adventure in Cricket Country. Chirp-chirp!
