Art Contest: Faraway Places

Whether you’re traveling to faraway times, like Eddy in “The Traveler,” or to faraway places, like Et-El in “Out-of-Sight in the Buraydah,” whether you’re on a quest for knowledge, like Prince Ranbir, or simply have a zest for adventure, visiting exotic people and places can be a life-changing experience. Wherever you go, you’ll marvel at different customs and landscapes and become friends with different kinds of people. You might even become a little different yourself.

For this month’s contest, we’d like you to draw yourself exploring a faraway place or time. Will you travel in your imagination to a cool, real place you’ve always wanted to see? Or to a fantasy world? Is the place you visit lush and beautiful or filled with harsh and forbidding landscapes? How are the inhabitants of this land like or unlike you? Do they dress differently? Have surprising customs? Where and how do they live?

It’s all up to you and your artistic imagination. Just send us your best drawing--only one, please--of yourself in a faraway place or time. Everybuggy will be traveling first class to the Cricket Country mailbox to behold your travel adventure.
