Contests

Autumn's End Art Contest

Autumn’s end is fast approaching. As the days grow shorter and colder, trees lose their last leaves and animals prepare for the change of seasons. But while the darkness of winter nears, so does the season of holiday lights and joy, of hope and new birth—when we feel gratitude for our abundance, brotherly love for those less fortunate, and awe at nature’s frozen beauty. For this month’s contest, everybuggy wants to be awestruck by your best art of a scene that fills you with joy as we enter the winter holiday season.

Maybe your joyful art will be inspired by the Hanukkah candles in “The Power of Light” or the music that fosters the prisoners’ hope in “Music for the End of Time.” Perhaps you will capture a moment of generosity and love of mankind, as in “The Sea Captain Who Rescued Foundling Children.” Maybe you will be inspired by your favorite winter sports to draw a joyful winter scene like the one on our cover.  Perhaps you will draw animals frolicking in a winter landscape, or the poem “In the Barn” will bring to mind the birth of a new life.

Whether it’s singing the Messiah at a Christmas concert, skating on a frozen pond, or gathering with family around the Thanksgiving table, everybuggy will be snowshoeing to the Cricket Country mailbox, waiting for the gift of your best drawing of the joy winter brings.
