Fantasy Art Contest

In the Crowd-Sorcery story “The Girl Who Writes the Future,” Fred Durbin and Emily Fiegenschuh have created an amazing fantasy world with the help of Cricket readers. Imagination is the spark of so many great characters like Fable Thatcher, Luminé, and the omnidriem Khaos, and magical objects and places such as The Book of Shadows or the library of the Silent Sisters. And who wouldn’t want to catch a ride on the Dragonfly, the fantasy flying machine on our cover? For this month’s contest, everybuggy wants to see your best fantasy drawing of a place, character, or creature that exists only in your imagination.

Will your art feature a strange, mythical creature? A fantastic, futuristic invention or machine? A glorious hero, formidable villain, or a magical place or object? Will you portray a sci-fi world of the future, a time long past, or perhaps a land that exists only in myth and legend? Maybe you will illustrate one of the characters or fantasy objects you find on the Crowd-Sorcery thread on the Chatterbox at cricketmagkids.com/sorcery (please label who or what it is), or be inspired to add a new one you make up yourself.

Whatever you choose, let your imagination run wild! The wizards, heroes, and weird creatures of Cricket Country (that is to say, everybuggy) will be waiting impatiently around the mailbox, casting their magic spells to help you conjure your very best art of a fantasy world or character that exists only in your imagination.
