New Art Contest: Dream Vacation

Even if your travel plans were upended this summer, you can still enjoy your dream summer vacation—in your imagination. Marty dreams of learning new skateboarding stunts, and Sluggo would love to sign up for baseball camp to improve his hitting, and fielding, and—well, everything. Pudding dreams of performing summer Shakespeare in the park and of traveling to London to see her favorite plays. And Muffin daydreams of riding horseback on cross-country trails while camping under the stars. For this month’s contest, everybuggy would love to see your best drawing or painting of your dream summer vacation.

Perhaps you dream of traveling to an exciting destination to observe amazing wildlife—like the Galápagos Islands, or an African game park, or on a whale-watching adventure. Or you might dream of adventures at summer camp—canoeing in a lake and singing around a campfire—or a computer, or space, or music camp. Perhaps you’d be happiest just hanging around the pool with your friends, or enjoying a summer night lit up with fireflies and fireworks while visiting relatives you haven’t seen in a while. You could even dream of traveling to an imaginary destination, such as the setting of one of your favorite books like the Land of Oz.

Whether you dream of vacationing on the moon, canoeing up the Amazon, or just reading quietly in a tree, everybuggy will be vacationing around the Cricket Country mailbox, dreaming of enjoying your best work of art inspired by your dream vacation.
