Photography Contest: Nature

After reading “In the Belly of an Ox,” about the two pioneers of nature photography Cherry and Richard Kearton, everybuggy felt inspired to head out into the wild with their cameras. While Pudding took to the skies for some aerial photography, George and Tail snapped wonderful underground shots that really got below the surface. Sluggo hid in his shell trying to sneak up on his subjects, and Marty even attached a camera to her skateboard for some great action shots. All these shutterbugs wanted to see your best nature photograph for this month’s contest.

You needn’t disguise yourself as an ox, sheep, or tree—nor, for goodness sakes, climb any tall trees or cliffs—to get a terrific nature photograph. But you’ll probably need to be quiet, and patient, and clever to get the most amazing shots. (Sluggo says the hardest part is getting an animal to say “Cheese!”)

Whether your photograph is of an animal, or an awesome landscape, or a beautiful pattern in nature, everybuggy will be smiling for the camera around the Cricket Country mailbox, waiting impatiently to capture the moment when your best nature photograph arrives. Cheeeeese!
