Photography Contest: Summer Getaway

It’s summer! And if you’re like the carload of happy dogs on our cover, you’re wagging your tail with excitement as you leave your usual routine behind and head out for some doggone vacation fun. Whether you go “Away” this summer or just stay “Here,” be sure to take your camera, because for this month’s contest everybuggy would like to see your best photograph of something cool, interesting—or just plain fun—you see on your summer getaway.

Will your getaway take you to summer camp, like Loxie and her fairy tale friends, or out to the ballpark to play some serious baseball, like “The Girls of Summer”? Perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to spend a week at the beach (Beware of sharks!), or stay in a cabin in the mountains (Beware of bears!), or go on a long drive to your grandmother’s house (Watch out for wolves!). Maybe you’ll get away to a picnic in the park or march in a Fourth of July parade.

Whether you photograph a sunset at Yellowstone, a crazy roadside attraction, or a frisky squirrel in your own backyard, everybuggy in Cricket Country will be lounging in the shade by the Cricket Country mailbox, waiting to enjoy your very best photograph—just one, please—of what you see on your summer getaway.
