Story Contest: Mutt Museum

A museum for dogs? That’s what the author suggests in “Cargo.” It’s a littly crazy, but it did give Sluggo an idea for a contest (even though he’s pretty slow).

From Nina in “Cargo,” to Leo and Ginger in “Passing On the Torch,” to Red Dog in “Ancestor Dog,” dogs have come through some tough situations to show how brave, loyal, and loving they are. For this month’s contest, we’d like you to make up a story about a fictional dog that you would put in the Mutt Museum.

Your story can be a suspenseful drama or just for fun. Will your canine hero do something brave and clever to save the day? Or escape from a dangerous situation with the help of a human? Will your dog be just an ordinary, lovable mutt or have magical powers? It’s up to you and your imagination.

So, don’t go barking up the wrong tree! Send us your best story of 350 words or less about a dog who would be in the Mutt Museum (if there were one). Everybuggy will be wagging their tails with joy (well, only Zoot has a tail, and Tail is a tail) when your story arrives in the Cricket mailbox. Arf!
