Grandpa and Me

I have a grandpa who I’ve never seen in my life. He was from Lebanon, and my dad was only eleven years old when his father died at the age of sixty-six. My dad said that Grandpa told him if he ever had a boy or a girl, to tell his grandchild to remember their grandpa with his picture.

My dad told me that my grandpa did not die fighting in a war; he passed away because of a heart attack. No doctors were available to save him because it was during a war; the doctors were hiding and couldn’t help him.

My grandpa told my dad to be sure to tell me that he loves me, if I were ever born. Whenever I look at his picture, I always think that he is still around somewhere in my world and appreciate his token of love for me.
