Locker Mates

It was a sunny Monday after in Miami, Florida. Jason and his friends were playing football when his brother William threw him a pass. It hit a tree and landed in Amy Brown’s hands. Jason started to sweat as he stood there staring at her. He finally came to his senses and said, “May I have my football back?”

“Sure,” she said.

The next day on the bus Jason saw Amy sitting with her friends. Inside he was super happy, but outside he was sweating.

When they got to school, Jason realized that he would need to spy on Amy and wait for the perfect moment to “bump into her.” He traced her through the whole school day and took notes in his notebook. Jason also discovered something very important. When he was flipping through his notes, he noticed someone peeking at him through the crack in the door. He tried to see who I was, but the person ran away fast.

The next day, Jason used his data to plan when he would “bump into” Amy. During the day, whenever Jason would look up, he would see that the same person was spying on him. All he knew was that it was a girl. He decided he would talk to Amy after math class, but as he waited for her, a new idea popped into his head. Tomorrow was Valentine’s Day. All he had to do was leave Amy a gift and sign the note.

On Valentine’s Day Jason left a tulip and a box of chocolates in Amy’s locker. Just as he left to open his locker, Amy came to open hers. She had left exactly the same gift in his locker. As they looked at each other, they knew that their love was sealed forever.
