Winter’s Birth

Way up high in the clouds somewhere
The king of the sky, a fleecy white bear
Has decided, like his father, once more
To cover the Earth’s rocky, barren floor
The people of Earth, waiting still
’Til winter comes, a crisp, frigid frill
The fleecy white blanket covers the Earth
And everyone knows this is winter’s birth.
