Not Alone

The stars and stripes billow.
The guns are long silenced.
Let them not be forgotten,
the many masses of stone.
For there, where they lie,
the cherry trees and poppies grow.
Let us now stand and give a silent prayer,
for they are not forgotten,
and they are not alone.
