Life’s Great Inquiry

If you can answer me this riddle;
If you can answer me this rhyme;
If you can answer me this question
Within the proper time,
Then I will shower you with riches;
I will shower you with gold;
I will shower you with wealth
That only stories hold.
If life is a game
And love is the prize,
And we all play on a chessboard
Of enormous size,
When the prize has been won
And the game is all done . . .
What will we do with the rest of our lives?
