Pajama Day

Our school has a uniform, blue, beige, and gray
And one day I got a note
Saying the next day was Pajama Day
I woke up the next morning
I didn’t do much
Tamed my hair
And packed my lunch
I put on my backpack and hopped
Down stairs
I walked out the door
And got many stares
When I walked through the gates
I was greeted with jeers
People smirking and oh the sneers!
I walked down the hall and to my locker
And there was a note saying, “Off your rocker”
I laughed out loud and bit back tears
I felt the redness seep to my ears
So in a school of blue, beige, and gray
A girl was pranked on April Fools’ Day.
