A squeak.

Creep forward,
Tail
Just brushing
The ground.
My ears
Perk up.
A mouse
Peeps out.
I crouch,
Leap,
Bite
Its neck.
Triumphant,
I return
With others
I’ve caught,
A meal
For me,
My mate,
Our kits.
