Silent Moments

On a crisp autumn evening,
Silent.
Serene.
When the sky is the color of apple cider, or spiced peaches.
I inhale the sweet air,
I exhale a white cloud.
A star.
Lights fixed in the now dark sky.
I smile.
It is dark, all I see is light.
It is cold, I am not numb.
I am another star in another dark sky.
Starlings dance in the fading October sky.
