What Is It?

Sometimes I hate you,
When you don’t listen.
Sometimes I love you,
When you bring me joy.

You make me angry sometimes,
So angry I kick the walls.
No matter what I’m feeling,
Every day I must be with you
(For thirty minutes, at the least).

Today you’re an enemy,
Tomorrow you’re a friend.
When I’m with you I forget everything else,
All my worries, fears, and doubts.

I love to hear your music,
Though it’s mostly out of tune.
Although you’re not my closest friend,
You’re still my violin.
