A Frightful Halloween

Walking alone on Halloween night
Always will begin and end in a fright

Creepy voices whisper from the dead
Even if I know they are just in my head

Around the corner weird sounds I hear
Makes me want to run home in fear

Curl up in a blanket and eat candy all day
I want to go home and that’s where I’ll stay

No more pranks, no more jokes
No more candy that makes me choke

No more surprises No more disguises

No more fun
I am just done

I run down the road
As jack-o’-lanterns glow

Through my front door
Candy crashes to the floor

Into my bed I jump
Making a very huge kerplump

I’m glad Halloween is gone
Now I can wait for dawn
