Orca

The waves part and reveal,
Between the water folds,
A treasure that only
The deep sea holds.

Deftly it swims,
Through the shifting blue sheet,
With the speed of a falcon,
And grace none can beat.

Its body adorned
With patches of white,
Layered on top
Of a black dark as night.

Weaving through waves,
The orca leaps high,
Brushing its fin
Against the dawn sky.
