The Land of the Fairies

Beyond the meadow and the sea
Away where humans cannot see
One step away from the twenty-first star
The secret place where the fairies are

A forest of enchanted trees
Where beams of sun slant through the leaves
The animals chatter, squeak, and bray
The secret place where the fairies play

Fairies of water, color, and air
Old, wise fairies with stories to share
Fairies of light, weather, and plants
The secret place where the fairies dance

A glittering lake of water that heals
Is home to fairy dolphins and seals
Kind and just is the Fairy Queen
The secret place where the fairies convene

Where fairies use their hidden powers
Lighting stars and opening flowers
This land’s location I cannot tell,
