The Vampire

Oh Halloween! A frightening magical night!
Where monsters lurk out of sight!
All my friends are unoriginal,
Going as a superhero or a Power Ranger,
But I prefer to be stranger . . .
As a vampire!

I will powder my face a ghostly white
And be a villain of the night.
I will wear fangs and blood and pull back my bangs
To make me look as frightening as the real thing.
I’ll wear a velvet cape and a blood-red brooch
And for candy, to the neighbor’s door I approach.
I say trick or treat and they greet me with a handful of Twix!
