Running for Medals

As I’m running
Leaping over a fence
Shaking all over
Fully tense

Racing through the fields
Seeing horses ahead
My owner guiding me
Thoughts flowing in my head

I think about how nice
My owner is to me
And makes me feel
Part of the family

Over a fence
And the next and the next
I know I like this race
Even though the flies are pests.

So I run forward
And win first place!
I loved the whole thing
Bring me to another race!
