The Tiny Bird

One summer day when I was grabbing something from the garage, I heard a weak sound coming from the corner. “Tweet tweet tweet.” I looked around and found a tiny bird lying on the ground. It could not move. When I got closer, I saw that it had a big wound on its wing and it could not fly because of this.

I called my mom to come see him with me. I picked him up gently between my hands and told her, “Look at this poor bird, Mommy. What can we do to help him?”

We took the bird to the vet. He cleaned the wound and fixed the broken wing. He told us that we should take care of the bird for a week or so until he got better and was able to fly again.

At home we took care of our new pet and put him in a cozy place.

After a week, the bird became stronger and stronger until he was able to fly. I took him to the backyard and watched him fly to the sky. I was so happy that my small act of kindness had given him the chance to fly free again.
