Puppies Play

The reeds sway
As the puppies play.
Tails wagging in the air,
They yip,
They skip.
Grass bends beneath their paws
As soft cries escape their jaws.
Flashes of fur as black as night
And tufts of hair brown and white
Are all we see as they rush
Through meadows lit by sunlit skies.
How content,
How happy
To frolic
On this warm spring day.
What fun to see these puppies play.
