Summer School

Summer is a promise come true, a long-desired vacation
Now that school is out, you can choose your own education.

It’s time to bring out popsicles and ice cream, to study each heavenly flavor
On a brutally broiling hot day, these treats will be your savior.

Poseidon sends waves of exhilaration, cold water crashing on land
Not all jellyfish are poisonous, you learn, picking your way across the sand.

Close to the rocks, you can catch a crab, if you are patient and still
You won’t become a marine biologist until you master this important skill.

You can make your summer extraordinary, by reading any book you like
Or teach yourself to climb a tree and perform amazing stunts on your bike.

An engineer can create a time machine with a chair, a blanket, and some imagination
Then blast your brother into the future, to play with aliens on a space station.

Use this time to explore what you like—find something e
