Music Magic

One of my favorite things to do is go up to our attic and pull out my grandpa’s old record player. Then I would go and look through the boxes of old records. I would listen to them as I organize and explore the attic.

I was listening to one of my favorites, “Yellow Submarine,” when I found a vinyl out of its case. The sticker on the front read “Classics.” I took “Yellow Submarine” out and put the “Classics” vinyl in the player. Almost immediately, a hard rock song starts playing, and I bob my head as I clean up the marbles that scattered the floor.

A minute later, I hear something crash to the left of me. I rush over to see what it is. A ladder staircase dropped from the ceiling! I slowly climb up it, careful not to break the old wood steps. The smell of sweat and excitement wafts into my nose. Then I hear a roaring of applause. I rush to the top to see what’s happening.

At the top, I look around. I’m in a concert hall filled with cheering fans! As I make my way toward the center, I see a band. They are playing the same song as the vinyl! This can’t be real, I thought to myself. As soon as the music stopped, a roar of applause, then silence.

I was back in the attic. A magic vinyl, I thought. I’m gonna have fun with that!
