The Horse in the Field
A horse stood alone in a field
Enjoying the peace and quiet
And eating all the corn.
Suddenly someone saw her
And he honked his horn.
People came and
They tried to chase the horse out
With kicks and whips
And lots of shouts.
But the horse won't move, wondering
Why in the name of horses
Are all of these yelling people here
Destroying the peace and quiet
And breaking silence everywhere.
Then a girl comes and speaks softly
And the horse follows her
Through the yelling crowd
And the horse is thinking, "Hooray!
I get to come home. Those people were very loud."
