A Thing of Beauty
Driving down this road
nothing but cement
and yellow lines
and stop signs
when I see something
a bit of green
it is a weed
carried there by wind when it was a seed
it sits there in the cracks
there are more
on the sides of the road
but I don't think of them
because in this world of cement
I see this weed
as a thing of beauty.
