Nighttime Wonders

Little firefly, in the night sky,
How do you light up the night?
You little bug, so humble a d small,
How do you shine so bright?

Ancient raccoon, sneaky and sly,
How do you snoop and sneak?
Dark gray coat, no one can see,
How around the corner you peek?

Little brown owl, with your deep scowl,
How do you gracefully fly?
Yellow eyes peering around,
Then take off and bid goodbye?

Old, wise moon, older than time,
How do you cast your beam?
Turning the shadows into the light,
Where everything can be seen?

Nighttime, so full of wonders,
A chorus of sights, sounds, and smells,
The sky turns a hue of red-orange,
And it’s time that I tell it farewell.
