Celestial Dreams

The warm, romantic summer night
calls to me.
I step into the crisp night air, and then
instant magic from the skies.
I hear calls of night owls
soft chirping of crickets
sweet twinkling from the stars
all blending in lovely harmony.

I look to the sky, and there
is the moon, my silver sister
the planets, my distant brothers
and stars, my shining cousins.
They all do their duty
over a ruffled sea of green
under a dark, midnight gown.

As I reminisce on seas and skies
harmonies
relationships
and simply the awe of
darkness
I know
I am home.
