I swim swiftly
Silently
Across the waters.
I am free
Able to go wherever I want.
I swim with my school
And suddenly
A net drops by us
Capturing my friends
My family
And it repeats
And repeats.
My ocean
My world
Is now an empty pool of water.
I swim away
As far as I can
I am exhausted
Covered in oil
I am scooped up
Fed and cleaned
Released back into the ocean
Into a beautiful reef blooming with life.
I swim into my new life.
