One “Pawsome” Vacation!

Margaret Miller was peacefully snoozing in her bed until BBBRRRIIINNNGGG! chimed her alarm clock. She groaned as she got out of bed. “Is it 8:00 a.m. already?” She stomped to her alarm clock. It read 4:00 a.m. She sprinted down the hall to her parents’ room.

“Mom,” she called. “I think my alarm clock is broken. It says it’s 4:00 a.m.”

“It is 4:00 a.m., sweetie. We’re going on vacation to Disney,” Mom replied.

“I’m going to go wake up Bee,” Margaret shouted as she bolted down the hallway. Bee was the family dog. She was a beautiful golden-brown color teacup puppy.

Margaret swung the door of the crate open. Bee happily pranced out of her crate and into the hall. Jane, Margaret’s older sister, carried Bee into their laundry room. Their nanny would pick her up when the family was on vacation.

Bee had other plans. When nobody was watching, Bee opened the door with her paws and stepped outside into the garage. The trunk of the car was wide open. Bee made her move. She leaped into the trunk. She slowly stepped into Margaret’s slightly open backpack.

Margaret’s dad closed the trunk and off they went. About halfway through the drive, Margaret heard a noise. “Did anyone hear that sound?” she questioned.

“No,” said Jane.

After hours of driving, they got to Disney World and into their hotel. Margaret unzipped her backpack and out popped Bee! “Bee, what are you doing here?” cried Margaret!

In response, Bee just wagged her tail.

Margaret paced around the hotel room wondering what she was going to do. Her dog had just snuck on vacation with her. “We could have our nanny come to get Bee.” What about this? Conversation went on. They came to the decision to keep Bee. But Margaret was scared the hotel staff would kick Bee out of the hotel.

After listening to this funny story, the hotel staff allowed Bee to stay. Everyone was happy, including Bee. Having Bee with us made our vacation awesome. In fact, it made it “pawsome”!
