Spider
My life is hard.
No one understands me!

People break my carefully spun webs.
People try to smash me with their newspapers.
What did I do wrong?
I eat the bugs that you hate.
I help you,
But yet in return
You stomp on my thin, fragile legs.
You scream when you see me.

My life is hard.
No one understands me!

The pesky mosquitoes that suck your blood,
The flies that steal from your plate,
The insects you try so hard to terminate,
I do it for you. I make your life easier.
I get harsh punishment in return.
And you call yourself misunderstood, unappreciated.

My life is hard.
No one understands me!

You say you don’t care.
I am just an annoying little bug.
I am just a disgusting vermin.
I am just a useless little spider.
