New Poetry Contest: Bugs!

Moths have many misfortunes,
It’s like we didn’t get our portion,
Not as colorful as a butterfly,
We look ugly to the human eye

Attracted to light,
But we are out at night,
People think we eat their clothes and food,
But we have a fact that eludes.
We eat nectar and honeydew,
Yet still we hear shoos

We are major in the food chain,
Eating us, animals gain.
We pollinate at night,
While other bugs are resting in the moonlight.

Humans use bug spray,
To keep their homes from getting decayed.
But we wouldn’t have nosed,
If they had kept their doors closed.

It’s not our fault,
But we’re hated by default,
Moths aren’t pests,
We just aren’t the best

We deserve respect,
Just like other insects
