Ultimate Buggy Vacation

Everyone was arguing. It was the 50th annual buggy vacation, and no one could agree where to go! Marty wanted to go to the skatepark, Sluggo wanted to go to a baseball game, and Tater wanted to go to space. Cricket tried to break up each fight, but it was too much work, and eventually, he got involved when he tried to go to reason with Muffin (who wanted to go to the library, and Zoot (who wanted to go to a concert).

Finally, Old Cricket shuffled in. “I have an idea,” he said.

“What kind of idea?” asked Tail.

“A time machine,” replied Old Cricket. He pulled out a large box with lots of levers and switches. Just about everybuggy fit.

“Where do you want to go?” asked Ladybug, but it was too late. Old Cricket had flipped the switch.

“We’re going to the 1900s!” exclaimed Old Cricket as a bright white light flashed. In an instant, everybuggy was in Old Cricket Country.

“What year is this?” asked Pudding.

“1973!” said Old Cricket.

“Wow, is that us?” asked Tater.

There was a group of twelve buggies with pens, drawing a comic. One of them said, “Hey, let’s make a magazine!”

Of course, it was Cricket! “Oh,” said Cricket. “This was the year the first Cricket was published.”

“Yes!” said Old Cricket. “But we have to go back, or we’ll disrupt the timeline.”

So Old Cricket pulled a lever, and the buggies went back. Everyone agreed it was the best vacation ever.
