Bill the Juggler
Bill hopped merrily into the garage and grabbed his flashy, bright green bike. Bill headed to soccer practice. Riding down the street, something fluttered past his bright green eyes. Nothing had ever stopped him before. He cautiously approached the sign. The sign read, "Needed: a Juggler, in Ringling Brothers' Circus."

Bill raced home as quickly as he could. Bill slammed the door and immediately shouted, "Mom, Mom, you can't believe what I just saw!"

"What is it now?" Aren't you late . . ."

Bill interrupted his mother and yelled, "I want to join the circus!"

"What? You, you can't, you're too young!" Bill had always wanted to be in the circus. This was his chance. The next day Bill begged his mother until she finally said, "Fine."

The next day was quite chilly. Bill headed out on his bike and signed up. He joined the juggling class. Bill entered the multicolored tent. The ringmaster had him juggle three heavy beanbags. Bill tossed up the beanbags. The beanbags hit Bob, the ringmaster, and he went spinning like a ballerina. The room exploded with laughter. Only one person was not laughing. Bill. Bill felt bad that he had hurt Bob. He truly did not mean it. The ringmaster sent Bill on his way. Bill slouched over and drooped the whole way home.

That night Bill woke up suddenly with an idea. He would practice hard. So for eight days Bill juggled and juggled until he felt confident to show Bob what he really could do. Bill jumped up boldly and shouted, "I can do this!"

When he reached the circus, he jumped off the bike and scurried to find Bob. Bill, determined to find Bob, finally shouted out, "Bob! Bob!"

Bob walked to Bill slowly. It seemed like he was taking his time. Bill tossed up three bowling pins, full of confidence in himself. Bob was amazed and shocked. Bill then said, "If you practice and focus on one thing, you can become very good at it!"
