Drawing Is a Wonderful Thing

A long time ago, in Paris, France, there lived a poor artist. His name was Pierre. This artist drew on the sidewalk, and he tried to sell his drawings and paintings. No one ever really noticed him, although his art was very beautiful. Everyone just walked right past him, almost like he was invisible. He loved art so much, he didn't stop. He came to the same stand on the same corner with all the same equipment every day.

One day, a tourist from America strolled by the stand. She loved art, so she stopped to watch him draw and paint. Well, she loved his art so much that she bought many of his works. While she was walking with the paintings under her arm, many people noticed the exquisite paintings. People started to stop her, asking her about the Pierre's paintings. She nicely answered, telling them about Pierre.

The next day an abundant number of people were at Pierre's stand trying to buy his art. There were so many people, he had to make more art to sell.

By the end of the day, all of his art was sold. As the days went on, he was earning more and more money. As long as he lived, everyone loved his art and he loved selling it, but not because of the money, but because he loves to put a smile on people's faces and art.
