Sun Trance

Sunrise,
nothing more
than the soft whisper of the wind
and the warmth of the rising sun.

A soft, sweet light
like a warm kitten
as the chill of morning
alights on your nose.

Speechless,
you gaze
at the sea of light
engulfing you.

Dew collected on a blade of grass
trickles off when
the sun’s mighty face shines upon the earth
as if by magic, sun trance.
