I know it’s ended, but this is the thread for talking about your favorite songs!
Austria won with JJ’s “Wasted Love” (likely leading to a Viennese Eurovision 2026), but I personally disliked the song because of the singer’s falsetto.My favourite songs were Israel’s “New Day will Rise” and Latvia’s “Bur man Laimi”, but I also liked Australia’s “Milkshake Man” (which unfortunately didn’t make it to the final, though Australia should be lucky to participate in the first place since it’s not even close to European [Israel isn’t stricly European but has incorporated a lot of European culture in, but Australia is literally on the other side of the world]). I feel bad for Go-Jo in terms of jet-lag; all the other singers had to deal with a maximum of one hour jet lag in either direction to go to Basel, but he had to deal with at least ten.

The only Eurovision song that I heard was “Esa Diva” by Melody, and that was only because Carlos Baute was going on about the song… But it’s kind of nice! I didn’t watch the actual performance because it was so dark and Gothic, but yeah, enjoyable song in itself… It’s nice that a Spanish-language song is getting more recognition, too.
