ParticipantWow thanks for including me! Oh and I am kinda glad that I'm back to non-super-hyper-me. Yeah, it back to normal. Well mabye there's still a little HYPERNESS in me. (See?)
~Gem
I see the two classmates whispering in the hallway, theyv'e been up to something for months! But I still can't put my finger on it! Then I sigh. Get it together Gem! You're the outcast only wishing for a more exiting life! You can't let the books you always are reading get to you. Speaking of books, Mom caught me reading last night, AND of corse she took the book and threw it in the trash. Now I have to pay the Library. AGAIN. Solution 1) Take on ANOTHER extra job. Solution 2) Don't take library books home. I head to science. Chiri the meadow lark(yes I seem to come up with voices of what animals are saying in my head) seems to thing it's called SKYence. Yeah I talk my worries out to animals. Any way, Mr. Honsil has us practice formulas for sand. Kinda interesting. But for a reason unknown to me, when I try to create the sand, a blue rocklike thing forms instead. I can feel the others looking at me. I furiosly blame myself for getting whatever it was wrong. Mistake 1 of the day!…….

Brookeira/Willomena
ParticipantWillomena~
Willomena grinned and waved as Zandibar and Lyra left. She then smiled casually at Gem, hopefully disspelling any suspicions.
As Will walked home, she heard a clanging in the alley near the cleaning company. She turned and saw a dark shape dragging a girl with a gem hairclip into an alley…
Gem.
Gem was unconscious. Willomena pulled her hoodie and shirt off, revealing her costume beneath. She pulled her belt, gloves, and cape out of the secret compartment of her backpack and followed silently into the alley.
This was no ordinary street thug. He was quickly recognizable.
Rex.
Will o' Wisp whispered into her walkie-talkie. "Zand-er, Skylock, get over here. In costume. I think Rex just kidnapped that Gem chick."

Darkness falls over the city, draping the gleaming steel skyscrapers in an inky veil. An icy wind whips over the barren roofs. I sit on the edge of an apartment building with my feet dangling carelessly over the side. How I love this job. The danger and excitement thrill me more than anything, and the nightly jaunts from roof to roof just make it better. Away in the metal distance, sirens wail. But I don't move a muscle. Unlike all the other vigilantes, I'm territorial. The Scarred, basically the city's mix of a slum and a gangster hideout, is my spot. On the surface, it's the typical office and apartment buildngs that you would expect. It's only when you dive under the cracked concrete and rusted pipes that you can find the rotten core.
I grew up here. In a small household secluded from everything that the world has to offer. That dissapeared along with my family when a reckless surge of gangs and muggers overtook the underground system. But nothing seemed to change. The government's welfare took care of that. I lived in the same scenario, went to the same school, the only thing that changed was the people. Adoption agents instead of parents. Not a real family, but close enough.
Back in the real world, the sirens are getting closer. I sit and watch the flashing lights, reflected off the countless glassy surfaces lining the streets. Then a slight tremor through the roof causes me to turn. A masked figure with a ragged black cloak that swirls in the wind is standing next to me. We both watch silently.
"Robbery?" I say finally without turning.
"Kidnapping" She replies after a slight pause. "And that's not it." She points the other way, towards a dark shape that looms over the skyline. I nod, not surprised.
"Need any help?" I ask before she can move off. Another pause.
"I don't think so." She says at last. "And you'll know if we do." I don't say anything to that. There's no expanation needed. Another shiver travels through the dulled surface, and she's gone.
The sirens slowly fade away as the wind whistles desperately. But the shape looms still.

I don't pretend to understand girls. I am pretty certain, though, that kidnapping them and knocking them unconscious doesn't really make you a ladies' man.
Which is why Gem is still unconscious. I don't feel like dealing with all the whining she'd do if she woke up.
I don't kidnap needlessly. Actually, this is my first kidnapping. I'm not sure I'm doing everything right. Skylar, my partner in crime, is older than me and more experienced. I feel like I'm trying so hard to prove something to her.
Such is the life of a top-notch villain. Wreaking havoc, still waiting to turn a profit. In love, luck and money.
I look with distaste at the kid on the floor. She's eleven. Pathetic. When I was eleven I stole my first knife. And learned to use it pretty quickly.
When I was a kid and I would watch superhero movies, I would always wonder about the ordinary citizens. What was their deal? Why would they stay in Gotham City when the Joker killed a hundred people a night? How stupid could they be?
I realize I don't even care anymore. I'm grateful to my victims. Without them I would have nobody to rob. Or kill.
Well, there's your glimpse into the twisted mind of a criminal for tonight. How did you like it?
I kneel before Gem. Sooner or later, I'll have to wake her. It will be much the worse for both her and me. Me, because I so dislike whining.
Her, because when I wake her, it will be for interrogation.

The Riddler
ParticipantSorry I didn't post earlier – I started writing this yesterday and didn't have time to finish.
Saana~
The prison van's doors open, and in a split second I'm out and up a building. The other vigilantes are on the other side near the Bowtie Cinema. I glare down at them. This was all their fault that I was being forced to work with them, that I had a tracking device on me to stop me from escaping. I most certaintly have no intention of being helpful to them. They're the ones who completely messed up my life. I hear a shuffling noise and look down. In the streets below a dark figure is dragging an unconscious girl into an alleyway. I jump down from the building and land almost silently next to another vigilante, I think her name was Willomena. "So what are we doing?" I ask, grinning wickedly.
She glares. "Well in case you were wondering, that girl Gem just got kidnapped. Kidnapped by someone like you."
I sigh dramatically. "Terrible. Just terrible. And I suppose we now have to heroically swoop in and save the girls life now, don't we?"
"I had a different plan in mind than 'heroically swooping in,' actually." she replies curtly.
~~~
Sorry that was an abrupt ending. I have to go!
Participant"Alright, Saana," Willomena growled, "you're going to jump on his shoulders."
"What?" Saana looked taken aback. "But-"
"The rest of us will carefully extract Gem and take her back to the base. Got it?"
Saana groaned. "Fine."
Willomena glared. "And if I see you put one toe out of line, you'll have Spark's katanas to answer to. Now do it."
Skylock, Spark, (maybe Dawnstreak? not sure if she's here or not) and Will o' the Wisp watched as Saana jumped, quietly, catlike. At the moment Rex heard her and looked up, Wisp threw a smoke bomb-right into Rex's eyes.
"Good shot," snickered Spark.
The three vigilantes jumped down into the mist. Skylock grabbed Gem and threw her over her shoulder. Rex's hand flailed in the fog, and Lyra grabbed it and kicked it into a wall. Rex growled, and Willomena heard the sound of him unsheathing a knife. She took out her favorite weapon; a tranquilizer gun-and shot at the noise. There was a growl. Rex lunged through the fog, but Wisp managed to barely leap out of the way and shoot him again. He collapsed.
Later, Rex was unconscious in a prison truck with Saana.
Will smiled. Evernaught City was a little better today.
Except for the cryptic note she found in the alleyway…
"Pitiful, isn't it? That you struggle day to day only to find that the villains always escape prison.
You shall rise.
You shall fall.
I shall watch."
I groggily open my eyes. My head feels like it's being pounded by an anvil. I'm lying on the floor of a dirty van with rusted metal walls. Beside me on the floor is… Saana?
The traitor. I hate her. I love her. I… I don't know.
That's besides the point. I have to get out of here! I pat down my belt. My knives are missing. Of course. The superheroes, sappy and overprotective as they are, are no fools.
Unfortunately for them, they missed something. My brute strength. Since they haven't tied me up, I get unsteadily to my feet. The van is shifting, probably driving through a curvy road.
I chide myself. Less thinking, more action. I back up, then run headlong into the opposite wall, ramming it with my shoulder.
Blind pain. I crumple to the floor of the truck, my vision darkening at the edges. The wall is dented, but that is all. I'm still trapped.
The dark spots get bigger, and the world fades into nothingness.
