NebraskaShe’s my favorite author. She writes middle grade fantasy novels, and fantasy is my favorite genre! She’s written Spark (my favorite book by her), Journey Across the Hidden Isles, Stone Girl’s Story, Catalyst, Even and Odd, The Shelterlings (haven’t read that one yet), and The Girl Who Could Not Dream.

A Celestial SkyYes I love books by Sarah Beth Durst! I’ve read Spark and Even and Odd, which were both really good, but I haven’t read the others.
-
LydiaGuestCool! Do you know any other authors you would recommend?

SeadragonGuestI like Sarah Beth Durst as well, and oddly I’ve read the exact same two books as Moon Wolf.
Other stories that are kind of in the same realm as her works are the Upside-Down Magic series (there are about seven books, by three coauthors), A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd, The Hidden Knife by Melissa Marr, and the Dragon Slippers series by Jessica Day George (I think it’s three books, and the first one is called Dragon Slippers.) -

A Celestial Sky@Seadragon, I know Upside-Down Magic and A Snicker of Magic as well!
Other recommendations: The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill, A Wish in the Dark by Christina Soontornvat, and Over the Moon by Natalie Lloyd (same author for A Snicker of Magic).

LydiaGuestOh, I know Natalie Lloyd! I’ve read a book by her—-I believe it was called Hummingbird. Thanks for the recommendation, Moon Wolf and Sea Dragon!
