WildWolfGuestI realized I hadn’t done anything for the MCU yet this month, and then when I went to look I didn’t even see a thread! Anyway, we’re going to need:
– Important Dates
– CB Quotes
– Inspirational Quotes
– Book Quotes
– Book of the Month
– Monthly Playlist
– Threads to Check Out
– Suggestions for the LMWAY
– Suggestions for the Advice Column
— Someone to hostI’ll do the monthly playlist 🙂
-
PoinsettiaGuestI could do CB Quotes and/or threads to check.
-
SeadragonGuestI’ll do Important Dates, if no one minds that I usually do them. I can’t host–I’m going camping August 1st.
-
WildWolf@allGuestIt doesn’t seem like there’s much excitement this month, should we take a summer break so to speak and start the MCU up again in August?
-
SeadragonGuestMy preference would be to do the MCU, since I like reading it every month, but we could keep it short. And it’s perfectly fine if we take a summer break. I’m aware that it can get stressful trying to put everything together.
-
PoinsettiaGuestI’d be okay with doing it next month instead, but this month is fine too – whatever’s easiest for everyone:)
Iffy isn’t loading – typical. I’d better refresh the page…
-
-
WildWolfGuestYeah, I would prefer to do it too but I’m going to be camping on August 1 so I can’t host.

SeadragonGuestAnd I forgot to say that on the CB, August is also Admins Appreciation Month! Sorry.
-
PoinsettiaGuestCB Quotes (since the CB’s been pretty quiet lately, most of these are older quotes):
“Admins are the bustling, British, no-nonsense nannies, and we’re their children.” -Sirfire
“Hearing someone gush about something you really like (especially if it’s obscure) and then you agree and you both freak out when you realise you both love said thing” -Jaybells
“GREETINGS, MORTALS. I AM SCORPIO, AND I AM NOT AFRAID TO USE THE TOAST ON YOU.” -Scorpio
“What a perfectly delightful idea! And just to give all of you chums more of depth to what I sound like, my fancy formal voice is always British. So, you all know know what I sound like when I grace this thread with my royal self. Tally ho!” -Hawkstar
“Then, after we went over the examples and common symbols for each country, we made our own, in groups. My classmate drew a lunch lady holding corn, and we used Google Translate to write on the top in big letters in Russian: “This Is In Russian.” Below it we wrote, “JOIN THE CORN.” The corn lady said, “The power of corn compels you (girl boss.) Then, my other classmate misheard the teacher saying “forces inside the countries” and thought he said “horses.” So we drew a horse holding a sickle, and his eyes looked all weird so we named him something and colored him green and labeled him “The Horses Inside Us” in Russian. Then we drew a russian army guy holding a stone-age style hammer.
It’s not that funny recounting it now, but trust me, it was HILARIOUS at the time.” -Tsuki the Skywolf
“I had to write an essay about the feelings of a character, and in the closing sentence, instead of saying she felt fury, I said she felt furry. This is why you quadruple check your work, everyone.” -Phoenix Tears
“convinced my dad to listen to mcr >:) so if you happen to see a middle aged man riding a bike through manhattan at five in the morning while blasting the black parade from broken speakers…that is my father” -pangolin
“Does anyone else create a character or line of dialogue and then get all excited and think, “Ooh, now I really want to read the book!” except you have to write the book instead and can’t get surprised by the plot twists and fangirl over the characters and enthusiastically generate fan theories?” -Snazzycakes
