My canon CBversary on March 18th passed while the CB was down. According to archives, I joined in 2021, which makes my CB age four years in total. In reality, I’ve been ghosting around this wonderful place for much longer than that! Around seven years, in fact. I discovered this place when I was still in sixth grade, and now I’m in eleventh. Time flies, doesn’t it?
Due to my inconsistent existence, I’ve never actually celebrated my CBversary with a thread, so this is going to be one of my rare first times doing something new on the CB! Allow me to run a quick montage of memorable events that happened to me on here in vague chonological order…
-The first page of the CB I ever saw was Kyngdom’s main page! Words could not express how my mind was blown away by the intricacy of the massive universe. I have to give Kyngdom the credit for kickstarting my passion for writing all those years ago- it’s literally the birthplace of my dreams.
-The first RP I ever read was The Olive Den RP I never knew that such amazing things existed before. This also puts my theorized actual CBversary date at around October 19-22, because back then when I was reading it there were only three pages of comments and it ended at “A Shadowed Being”‘s post.
-The first name I ever used was Eclipse, under which I remained active around Agent Winter’s time (Specific dates are lost on me, I only imprint on unique markers like names). I’m having a hard time trying to find the introduction thread I made back then, but anyways, I never actually used it too much. I later phased off and just spent my time reading countless amazing threads without commenting, like the introvert I am. Later I vanished due to life and school.
-After a one-and-a-half (again, I’m just estimating) year ‘hiatus’, I returned to the CB in the year 2021, discarding Eclipse for favor of Zealatom ver.1, made a new introduction thread for the sake of CB tradition, and proceeded to participate in a whole lot of ski lodges, because during that time period Pudding’s Place was overflowing with them and I had too much time to spare. Also I hosted my first hay fight, made a Corrupt a Wish thread, and some other random things.
-I then vanished off the face of the CB again. After a long period of time I returned, in a rather unstable mental state, and temporarily went under the name Ultimatum before the CB reunion began and I decided it’d be a good idea to revive an old username.
-Now, under Zealatom ver.2, I’ve tried RP’s, writing Written Picturings, nearly everything that I can think of that doesn’t demand too much of my time, and met lots of intresting and wonderful people. I’m talking about you all, of course. The CB’s been a key factor of my life, and I can safely say that it’s a website that shaped the person who’s writing these words in front of a computer right now. It was the admiration of all the talented writers and artists gathering here that spurred me to take up my own pen and set out to create worlds of my own, the spark that kindled everything. So thanks so much. Thanks so much for just being here, for just being yourselves, and for inspiring me to forge on ahead on my own path with pen and ink and keyboard. I love you all. There’s this song that I’ve been listening to, it’s called ‘Be Somebody’ by Thousand Foot Crutch. I discovered it while the CB was down, and I couldn’t stop myself from inserting myself and the CB into the lyrics…
*sighs* Life’s been tiring lately, and I don’t have time for too much CB, so that’ll be the end of my ramblings. For this thread, I’ll just be doing a simple Q&A, coupled with random song recommendations that I hope you all might like. Feel free to ask me many, many questions to sate your thirst for knowledge, and I’ll do my best to answer all of them in time. Consider it as, hmm, I don’t know, maybe getting to know that ancient telephone that’s been lying in your attic?
