Hi everyone!! This is the third year in a row I’ve made this thread now :DD Fill out as many of these as you can remember or if you don’t remember, feel free to put your best guess. I hope you don’t mind that I’m just copy-pasting from last year…I think it’s great already so I don’t want to redo it haha XD Anyways, happy new year and I’m wishing you a great 2026 :)

Oh yay! I’ve always really enjoyed these :)

First thing that you did (If you stayed up what you did at midnight or if you didn’t what you did when you woke up): I believe I lay in bed and thought “arghh why did I wake up so early” (it wasn’t early, obviously, because I never wake up early when I can help it, but I hadn’t slept very well and it would have been nice to sleep a bit more) and then “ooh and it’s 2026!!”

First meal: Breakfast, which was oatmeal with chocolate chips >:) Also a tangerine.

First thing read: Probably the label on the oat package. The first things I read consciously and through choice, though, were CB posts – I came on here after breakfast, though I didn’t get around to posting anything.

First words after happy new year, if you can remember: “Happy 2026!”

First time going outside, and why: At about one in the afternoon, to walk around a bit in the garden. Unfortunately it was chilly and I didn’t stay out long in consequence :/

First music listened too: “El Chisme” by Carlos Baute, to get the new year off to a good start :P

First thing you wrote: A little “whee it’s 2026” entry in my diary

First fresh outift of the year: A dark blue shirt, a shaded brick-and-dusty-rose sweater, brown pants… nothing too innovative

First meal: Breakfast of baked pastries

First thing read: in terms of a book, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

First words after happy new year, if you can remember: Something to do with wanting to go back to sleep, probably

First time going outside, and why: Went outside to start our road trip back

First music listened too: hmm it might have been Wait for It from Hamilton

Okay I’m a bit late but I thought I’d fill this out as well :)

First meal: Well, the first food I ate was 12 grapes at midnight, but that’s not really a meal…the first actual meal I had was lentils and cornbread for breakfast.

First thing read: I read a chapter of The Hazel Wood after midnight, before going to bed

First words after happy new year, if you can remember: I think I said “please pass the grapes!” Because, like I said before, I ate 12 grapes right at midnight

First time going outside, and why: I was going on a walk around my neighborhood

First music listened too: I’m actually not sure…well, I think it was whatever the DJ was playing on tv right after midnight and I don’t remember what song it was. But the first music I chose to listen to was a song by Aurora, I think.

First thing you wrote: A journal entry :DD

First fresh outift of the year: I wore wide leg gray jeans and a fitted white and green striped shirt

First thing drawn, or even just doodles: I haven’t really drawn anything yet…I did doodle with some paint pens yesterday, though
