Maybe the LMWAY could be “What’s your favorite autumn color/song?” and the Advice Column could be “Tell us your best say to relax when you’re getting stressed and depressed in the end of autumn”?

Question, do you guys look up what books and quotes etc. of the month are, or do you guys just make it up? I can do anything left out.

@Thalorwin, MCU stands for Monthly Check Up, which is a monthly newsletter-type thread with all sorts of interesting things: a book recommendation and review (book of the month), a list of interesting threads, especially ones that were posted in the last month (threads to check), nice, inspiring, or interesting quotes, etc. Each month, CBers assemble these things so that they can be put together into an MCU by the host, who usually adds AE commentary as well. It would be great if you could do book quotes (just keep in mind that there should be about five or six short ones) and important dates (I think these are usually found by online searches? But calendars are very helpful as well). I hope this helps :))
Book of the Month:
The Witch of Blackbird Pond, by Elizabeth George Speare
Kit has grown up in the Caribbean with her grandfather, and she’s independent and free-spirited – something that shocks the Puritan community she joins when she’s forced to take up a new life on the shores of New England. It doesn’t feel like home to her; the only people she understands are Hannah Tupper, the witch who lives in the sunny and homelike meadows outside town, and Nat Eaton, the captain’s son who brought Kit to Connecticut. On the surface, the three seem to have nothing in common, but an unexpected friendship blossoms between them as Kit tries to adapt to her new life – until she finds herself accused as a witch too, the friends become entangled in trouble as the entire community turns against them, and everything seems to be trying to tear them apart… This beautifull, well-woven historical drama will pull you into the middle of its world and completely fulfills its promise.
