AmethystGuestfall-burnt leavesI thought it would be good to have the questions up early, so here they are! Feel free to answer some or all of these~
LMWAY (Last Month We Asked You)
In many places, autumn is the most colorful of the seasons, as leaves change color and skies become clear. What’s your favorite color this autumn, and which do you think embodies autumn best?
Advice Column
To me, at least, autumn also seems to be reminiscent of a certain type of fantasy (though that’s rather a leap, so I don’t know if anyone else feels the same…) So this month we want your advice on the best way to make friends with a dragon!
LotM (Location of the Month)
Where are you this month? Give us your most inspired fall-themed location!
Joke Column
As winter comes on, we need laughter more than ever. What are your favorite fall-themed or just generally laughter-themed jokes?
-
ThalorwinGuestLMWAY: I think gold embodies fall the best because of the yellow leaves, brown cornucopias, and just the brown dirt on the ground. Those all mixed, is gold!
ADVICE COLUMN: the best way to be friends with a dragon, is to first find a dragon. Then, that’s just being a kind person and then the dragon might end up liking you.
LOTM: Picking pumpkins under a full moon.
JOKE COLUMN: Why did Santa go to music school? Because he wanted to improve his “wrapping” skills. 😆
That’s a Christmas joke, hope that’s okay. -
pangolinGuestshe/they
lost in a corn mazeLMWAY: definitely orange – the burnt orange of changing leaves, the muted orange-brown of hot apple cider, the bright orange of a jack-o-lantern and the candle flickering inside it.
Advice Column: to befriend a dragon, you must think like a dragon and act like a dragon. the hard part is acquiring a flamethrower.
LoTM: lost in a corn maze
Joke Column: in honor of novel writing month – why don’t escaped convicts make good writers? they never finish their sentences.
-
SeadragonGuestLMWAY: Red–the glowing red-orange of tree leaves just before they turn brown, and the maroon-red of grapevine leaves before they do the same.
Advice Column: Treat the dragon respectfully and let it take its time to get to know you.

sunset colored leaves drifting on a breezeThanks for getting this up, Amethyst!
LMWAY: My favorite color this autumn is a golden yellow, the color of the sun and autumn leaves with lingering traces of summer.
Advice: The best way to make friends with a dragon is by giving it food! They always say that the way to a dragon’s heart is through their stomach! (or something along those lines)
LoTM: sunset colored leaves drifting on a breeze
Joke Column: I’m going to take inspiration from pangolin and do a writing joke as well. Why don’t authors have more free time? They’re booked and busy. -
WildWolfGuestLMWAY:I think the colour that embodies autumn best is a mix between orange and red. It’s the colour of autumn leaves, pumpkin muffins, and early sunsets.
Advice Column: To befriend a dragon you must show the fiery beasts that you are like them. Act fierce, (don’t make threats to the dragon though, trust me) blow fire, and eat raw meat. Hopefully you are capable of the last two, but if you’re not you could go the simple route: simply dump 3000 cows into their cave.
LoTM: waking up to the world cloaked in a soft, quiet layer of white

AmethystGuestfloating among sun-fired leavesLMWAY: Autumn is half vermilion and half crimson, with a touch of ochre. My favorite color right now, though, is blue; the skies in autumn always seem a bit more blue than other skies, and snow-blue winter is on its way.
Advice Column (AC?): The best way to make friends with a dragon is to not get eaten by it; one can then proceed to whatever course seems wisest, depending on the temperament and upbringing of the dragon, and whether you really want to befriend it at all.
