Climate beeGuestLike the poetry thread, but for long form writing or whatever it’s called. Excited to see what ya’ll do! Don’t worry about how long or short it is, the longest story I’ve written would be about a paragraph typed, and I love reading the stories from you novelists…

NYLuciana had been walking in the desert for days. She had been lucky enough to get some water at an oasis, but she didn’t know how many more of those there would be. She was completely lost.
Suddenly, a horse and carriage appeared in the distance! Luciana ran straight towards it, waving excitedly. “Over here! Over here!” She shouted.
“Hello there, young one!” Said the old woman driving the carriage. She was dressed in old fashioned clothing, and wore a cape made of dragon scales. ‘Are you lost? She asked kindly. “Yes!” Luciana replied.
“How about you come with me, then? I know this place like the back of my hand!” The old woman offered. “Thanks!” Said Luciana, as she hopped into the carriage.
Luciana had been in the carriage for a few minutes when she realized something. Why on earth was there an old woman dressed in old fashioned clothing driving a buggy in a desert? It wasn’t 1850!
“Um excuse me, but why are you driving a buggy in a desert?” Luciana asked, trying not to sound freaked out. “Why, I don’t know dearie! What do you think?” The old woman asked her.“What do you mean you don’t know?” Asked Luciana, who was starting to rethink her decision about entering this buggy. “Oh, it’s always something different, sometimes I’m a sailor, sometimes I’m an actor, sometimes I’m a clown! But it’s always so tiring.” The woman sighed.
Luciana wasn’t sure what to make of this. Why was this woman talking about? “Ma’am, you do know how to get us out of here, right?”
The old woman thought for a moment. Finally, she said, “There’s a tavern half a mile from here.”
Luciana sighed with relief. There was a very good chance this old woman didn’t know what she was talking about, but the tavern was supposed to only be a half mile away. If the tavern didn’t show up, and Luciana had to get off the buggy, she wouldn’t be that far off trail. “Got it.” Said Luciana.Eventually, the tavern appeared. Luciana, pleasantly surprised, entered the tavern with the old woman right behind her. But it wasn’t a tavern at all! It was… an arcade?
Luciana woke up. Had it really been a dream the whole time? It had felt so real! As she got out of bed, she saw a piece of paper flutter to the ground. She picked it up. It said, Hope to see you soon, dearie! From, Dream Spirit. Luciana never slept without her teddy bear again.
