What are some of your hobbies and interests? Anything you want to accomplish this year?

Wow! I can’t believe it’s a new year all ready!!! So excited to chat with you Moon Wolf!!
So, some of my hobbies/interests are, probably reading, crafting of all kinds, (I just finished a clay jewelry kit thingy) playing the piano, thinking of spots to travel (my current favorites are Disney Cruise Line and Disney World!!), Rock Climbing, I think that’s it.
I really love climbing! I’ve been to the top of three that were maybe *hey, Dad! How tall were those ones I did in the Rock Gym?* 50-60 ft tall. They were all 5.5s if you know what that means…
What’s your fav sport/hobby?
For accomplishments, I want to get a 5.6 or 5.7 done for climbing, do an 100m freestyle (swimming), finish 2 piano books by the end of the year(the lesson ones, not a for fun), and also, we’re gonna (as a family) try and hike 250 miles in a year.
Do you have any pets? What’s your fav book? What are you reading currently?

Wow rock climbing sounds really cool! I’ve only ever tried it once, though it was quite fun. How long have you been rock climbing? And what kind of rock climbing do you usually do?
My favorite hobby is definitely reading or writing. I’ve also been enjoying art a lot more recently, especially with Inktober, and I’ve seen quite a big improvement in my art since last year. Have you also been doing more art recently? If so, what do you like to draw usually?
Ooh you also play piano? How long have you played, and what kind of songs do you like to play?
Hiking sounds like a good resolution! I want to try to get outdoors more this year as well. What places do you usually like hiking?
I don’t have any pets currently, though I plan on getting fish soon, once I clean out the fish tank. What about you?
My favorite book…hmm, there’s a lot, though my favorite series when I was younger was definitely Warriors. Nowadays, there’s so many more, like Hunger Games, PJO, WoF, Lunar Chronicles, and more. What about you?
Currently, I am reading the Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. What book are you reading currently?
Do you play any instruments other than piano? Or do you want to learn any other instruments?

Well, I’ve been climbing (more seriously) for maybe, a year. I really enjoy it!! I usually do Top Rope or Bouldering, but I really want to try Lead. That’s when you clip in the hooks as you go.
I have been doing art more recently, but not because of Inktober. I just have felt like drawing! I’m a lot better at landscapes and animals versus people. They always look funny, but fine at the same time, though I’m getting better. What do you draw mostly?
Do you play piano? Or an other instrument? I’ve been playing for a while, maybe since 2020 or 2019, so 6 or 7 years. No pun intended. I like more pop songs and also lyrical, but not classical.
I usually hike at the 5 minute away state park. It’s mostly woods, but there are a few trails by me that are meadows though. Do you hike at all?
I have a sable Shetland sheepdog named Tate! He’s really cute and fluffy!!! He’s almost 1 year old. 😀 I’ve had a few neon tetras in the past, and 2 betas. Though, we started to not take care of them as well, so we recently got rid of the tank.
Man, i have a lot of fav books/series. Mine are probably Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Harry Potter, Pegasus, and KOTlC. I want to read the Hunger Games, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
I’m currently reading Daughter of the Deep by Rick Riordan, and also the Pegasus series I’m on the second to last book I think.
I want to learn either the violin or the flute!! My mom and cousin play the flute, though I don’t want to play it really, because I feel like my arms would get tired and also I’d run out of breath so quickly! Though, it would be fun to do a trio with them…
And for the violin, it sounds really nice and also, I have a lot of friends that play it! What about you?What’s your fav animal/color?

Yep, the nice thing about art is that the more you draw, the more you improve! Then after a while, you can reflect on your old art and see how far you’ve come! I like to draw mostly people now, though I used to draw more animals.
Yep I play piano! I also play guitar. I played vibraphone for about a year as well. Yeah I also like playing pop songs more because you can get more creative, especially with the left hand.
Usually on the weekends, my family goes out somewhere, sometimes to a park or someplace else. Like during the fall, we go to this one mountain area to hike and see the fall leaves. Or during the spring, when the flowers are blooming, I go to the nearby state park.

Which PJO Cabin would you be in? Which Harry Potter house? And if you could have any ability from KOTLC but you could only choose one, which one?
How are the books you are reading so far?

For PJO, I’d probably be in Poseidon or Athena, but for Hogwarts, I’d be in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. And for KOTLC, I’d want to be a telepath, though I think I’d get self conscious about what people thought about me. What about you?

And I’m also reading the Pegasus series. Et toi? Aka, and you. I wrote it in French!! I’m learning French on Duolingo btw.Oh yeah! I can play the ukulele if I’m lookin at the “cheat sheet” to show you how to do each of the chords.
I like Sea Turtles (hence why I’d be a daughter of Poseidon if that stuff was all real), capybaras as well, and I like dogs.

My favorite seasons are spring and winter. While I’m typing this, there is that winter storm ice thing happening. I basically got sleet, but it feels like really fluffy snow!! It’s great for sledding. And also, my mom let me have her old patio is 3 in 1 ski jacket. It’s so nice!! What about you?

A vibraphone is similar to a marimba/xylophone, but it has a pedal like a piano and the keys are metal and larger than a xylophone. (And by xylophone I don’t mean the cheap plastic ones but the actual metal/wood ones)
I took some quizzes and it says that I’d be a daughter of Athena, though personally I think I could be a daughter of Apollo as well. I’m also a Ravenclaw, and for KOTLC, I’d either be a polyglot or teleporter. Which of those fictional worlds (or fictional worlds in general) would you want to live in the most?
My current book is House of Hades from HoO by Rick Riordan. Ooh French sounds cool! I learned a bit of basic Italian a while back, though I’ve stopped now. I might start again if I have time. How long have you been learning French?
That’s nice! And the more you play, the less you need the cheat sheet. Since I already know guitar, ukulele is easier for me since it’s a transfer of skills.
Snow sounds awesome! My favorite season is also winter. What is the ideal thing for you to do in winter?

I like to see the snow when it occasionally falls. For the bad ice storm, did you get any of it? I just got sleet, which was perfect for our sleds! Also, a few weeks ago, we got 5-6 in of snow!

If you mean when drawing humans, for me, if it’s where to place the eyes, I would draw guidelines. So first you draw a circle where you want the head to be, then a line down the middle of the circle vertically, as well as horizontally, and then continue the vertical for the chin, then draw lines connecting from the edge of the circle to the line. Then along the horizontal line between the vertical line and edge of the face, you draw the eyes (or add dashes to indicate for later)! If you mean how to draw eyes, it mostly depends on what kind of art style you have/want. But in general, it helps to look at references! Just search up eyes online (+ the art style you want the eyes in, like “anime eyes” for me) and do your best to copy it on a piece of paper. The more you practice, the better it will look.

I’m pretty sure for me, only the mountains got snow. Most of the time it was just rain.
I went with my family to a tea time place for Valentine’s Day, and that’s about it. For my family, Lunar New Year is a much bigger deal. What about you?

I didn’t do anything for Valentine’s Day, other than going on a hike with our friends from church that we’ve known for like, forever. I didn’t do anything the day before either cause I’m homeschooling this year, but if I was still at school, I would have had a Valentine’s Day party in class and pizza for lunch.
That’d be fun!! I’ll have to start working on it at some point. I’ll probably forget though!! ;P
